About Us
Welcome Home Ministries Africa (WHMA) is a children's home licensed for 65 children from birth to six years old. Each child has a name, a story of loss and pain, also a hope and a dream. We love them all, and our mission is to see each child heal and grow to his or her fullest potential.

We are committed to love the hurting children of Uganda. The purpose of WHMA is to care for the children who are orphans, sick, dying, abused, abandoned or neglected; those who have no chance of survival without intervention.

WHMA is a bright and happy place nestled between the Nile River and Lake Victoria. It began in 1995 and is the first and largest babies’ home (birth to six years) in Jinja, Uganda. We are a team of around 50 Ugandan staff, caring for the many children who come to us in need. Our goal is to offer God’s love and care to the children in a safe environment. No westerners are paid and only 5% of funds from your donations cover our US overhead such as newsletter mailings.

Along with our children's home, we serve through our medical clinic, three churches (Lwambogo, Kamigo, and Kasisi, which does not have a building yet), networking with surrounding villages, hospitals, prisons and schools.
The Lwambogo and Kamigo Churches are funded by Calvary Life Fellowship in Brea, California, USA.

The Welcome Home Church property is also funded by Calvary Life Fellowship, however it is owned by Welcome Home.
