Aaron and Lisa have been married 23 years and still live in the same hometown Hudsonville, MI where they both grew up. They have 9 children and 5 of whom are adopted from WHMA.  Aaron runs his own business, Shine of Grand Rapids.  Lisa is a full-time stay-at-home mom. These jobs have assisted in their understanding and ability to be able to serve WHMA. 

 

Aaron and Lisa have been training under Mandy Sydo for the last 8 years to learn the ministry and are taking on more responsibility each year moving into management. October of 2024 Lisa was able to have a trip dedicated to her stepping into greater leadership with all the Ugandan management and staff.  Lisa will take a few trips a year to Uganda and the family comes along whenever it works.  Together the family serves WHMA through local fundraisers and volunteer teams.  They are grateful for the opportunity to care for the disadvantaged and the orphans in Uganda.
